Education
Creativity Connects Community
Beyond delivering world-class live music experiences, we work year-round to support educational outreach and music & arts programming. We partner with the local schools, community members, and artists to build these programs and foster a sense of connection built upon collective creativity. Our relationship with the Sisters School District extends over more than 23 years and includes programs such as:

-
The Americana Project (fundamentals of self-expression through music) and the Luthier Program (guitar-building) at Sisters High School
-
The after-school Creativity Club and the Outlaw Strings Club at Sisters Middle School
-
Summer Creativity Camps including art, music, and theater education for students in grades 5 - 10
-
Scholarships to qualifying seniors to pursue post high school education at the college, university, art academy or technical institute of their choice.
We also offer immersive music education for adults through the Americana Song Academy, songwriting, instrument, and bluegrass courses, and single-day art workshops.
We're proud to offer Pay What You Can pricing when possible to help eliminate financial barriers to participation.
Experiences
Bringing music & art to the forefront of our community.
SFF Presents live-music experiences are thoughtfully priced to allow access to as many people as possible, but we know that any ticketed event can exclude members in our community. For that reason, we make it a priority to offer admission-free events several times a year.
We host annual Community Celebrations at both the Sisters Folk Festival and at Big Ponderoo, where attendees of all ages can enjoy live music from festival artists and participate in interactive art activities. As part of our Summer Concerts at Sisters Art Works, we host the Sisters Hometown Hang and book regional acts to perform a free concert for our audience. For youngsters, we offer the free KidZone on Saturday of the Sisters Folk Festival with family-friendly performances, live readings, games and crafts at Fir Street Park.

In 2023, we offered five-weeks of Art Works Yoga -- inviting community members to join us on our lawn for restorative yoga classes taught by Black Butte Chiropractic and Yoga instructors free of charge.
The Cindy and Duncan Campbell Gallery, located inside the Sisters Art Works building, features rotating displays from local and regional visual artists. The gallery offers a low-pressure, zero-fee environment to show and sell their work.
